Man United’s S:ho:ck Bid for Relegated Premier League Star — Faces Competition from Top Club!

Manchester United Eyes Surprising Move for Leicester’s Wilfried Ndidi Amid Relegation

Manchester United are exploring the possibility of signing Leicester City midfielder Wilfried Ndidi, who could become available at a reduced price following Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League. The Nigerian international, aged 28, is reportedly valued at just £9 million due to a release clause activated by Leicester’s drop to the Championship.

Ndidi, who has spent eight years at Leicester and contributed significantly last season with five assists in 28 league appearances, had previously been linked with a move to Manchester United and Everton. However, he signed a three-year extension last year, which included the release clause designed to come into effect if Leicester were relegated.

Despite interest from other clubs, such as Everton and several Saudi Pro League teams, United see Ndidi as an affordable target especially as they face squad overhaul needs. Casemiro’s potential departure has further heightened their interest, as the club looks to strengthen midfield options.

The player’s market value has plummeted due to Leicester’s relegation, and United’s interest could see the move finalized for just £9 million. Alongside this, Leicester is actively seeking to rebuild their squad, having already spent over £60 million on new signings like Matheus Cunha. They are also working on a bid exceeding £60 million for Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and aim to offload players such as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Jurrien Timber, and Antony to fund these transfers.

Wilfried Ndidi remains an internationally capped player for Nigeria and has been a key figure at Leicester, but the club’s recent lower-tier status means their prized assets could soon be on the move.
