The Swiss women’s national team experienced a significant 7-1 loss against FC Luzern’s Under-15 male team during a warm-up match as they prepare for the upcoming European Championship next month.

This defeat marked their second against an Under-15 squad in their Euro 2025 preparations, following a 2-1 loss to FC Solothurn. Footage of the game circulated online and garnered substantial attention before being taken down.

Switzerland’s coach, Pia Sundhage, fielded a second-string lineup, including 26 players and third-choice goalkeeper Nadine Böhi. An official from the Swiss Football Association explained that competing against junior teams is common in women’s football, aiming to boost competitiveness and physical preparation.
