Viral TikTok Stars SpudBros Transform from £12 Meals to Sponsoring Championship Club!

Preston North End Signs Sponsorship Deal with Viral Potato Makers

Preston North End has announced a new kit sponsorship with the popular potato snack brand, SpudBros. The club showcased their updated kit featuring bold red “SpudBros” lettering on the front, following the partnership with brothers Jacob and Harley Nelson from Preston. SpudBros gained fame online by sharing videos of serving hot potato snacks from their tram in Preston, amassing 4.2 million TikTok followers and opening a store in central London due to their popularity.

The new home kit will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Friday, priced at £70 for adults. While the release generated significant interest, it received mixed reactions from fans. Some criticized the design, preferring Preston’s traditional white and blue colors, and questioned the prominence of the red sponsor. Others praised the kit and its unique sponsorship.

Preston also posted a humorous video at their Euxton training ground, showing midfielder Mads Frokjaer-Jensen ordering a potato, beans, and cheese snack, jokingly facing a potential three-match ban for requesting his beans before his cheese. This playful content marked a departure from the club’s previous sponsorship with PAR Group, which has been displayed since the 2021-22 season.

This summer, Preston has been busy building their squad, securing four new players. Notably, goalkeeper Daniel Iversen, a former player of the year, joined from Leicester, alongside promising wing-back Thierry Small from Charlton, midfielder Jordan Thompson from Stoke, and right-back Pol Valentin from Sheffield Wednesday. Forward Daniel Jebbison also arrived on loan from Bournemouth. The team’s reinforced lineup is essential as they prepare for their tenth consecutive season in the Championship, following a 20th-place finish last campaign and the departure of several key players, including Ryan Ledson, who moved to Huddersfield Town.
