Tragic Dad Accused of Killing His Three Girls—Mom Describes Their Last Moments as ‘Incredible’

Mother Honors Her Three Young Daughters in Heartfelt Memorial

The mother of three young girls, tragically murdered by their homeless father, delivered an emotional tribute to her daughters more than three weeks after their bodies were discovered. Whitney Decker spoke tearfully at a memorial service held at Rocky Reach Park, mourning the loss of her daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5.

In her speech, Whitney expressed her hope that her daughters’ lives would leave a lasting impact. She reflected on how, after her divorce, she and her daughters learned to communicate their feelings with each other before bed, fostering a bond of kindness and openness.

“They were incredible,” Whitney shared, recalling their compassion and strength. She thanked those in attendance for their support and love during this difficult time.

Tragic circumstances surrounding the girls’ lives began when their father, Travis Decker, a 32-year-old Army veteran, was last seen during a planned custody visit on May 30. He has a documented history of struggles with mental health, including paranoia and borderline personality disorder. The couple split in 2022 amid these issues.

The girls went missing after Travis took them for their visit and never returned. Their bodies were later found near Rock Island Campground, with plastic bags over their heads and zip ties on their wrists, indicating suffocation.

The investigation has intensified as authorities pursue Travis, who remains at large amidst fears he may have taken his own life. The case has prompted concern over misguided sympathizers potentially helping him evade capture, with law enforcement emphasizing the serious danger he poses.
