Yolanda Hadid Defends Posting Her Granddaughter Khai’s Photo

Yolanda Hadid recently responded to criticism after sharing a photo of her granddaughter Khai on social media. An Instagram user commented that the image was “really inappropriate” and emphasized the importance of respecting a child’s privacy, suggesting such posts could impact her in the future.

In her reply, Yolanda firmly told the user to leave her social media feed, stating, “Please go and harass somebody else’s feed. You are not welcome here!”

The photo in question was part of a birthday tribute to her son, Anwar Hadid, where Khai was seen playing with her uncle by the beach. The young girl, dressed in a red swimsuit, was captured from behind, maintaining her privacy.

Many of Yolanda’s fans supported her decision, citing that Khai’s mother, Gigi Hadid, approved of the post and that her granddaughter’s face was intentionally hidden. Others pointed out the difficulty of controlling online comments, noting that many people are overly invasive in celebrity spaces.

Yolanda, 61, became a grandmother in 2020 when Gigi and Zayn Malik welcomed Khai. Since their separation in 2021, the exes have co-parented Khai, consistently choosing to shield her from public view to allow her a normal childhood, as Gigi explained in an open letter.

Gigi often shares glimpses of Khai on her social media, sometimes showing her at birthday parties or summer outings without revealing her face. When an Instagram user in April commented on Khai’s apparent happiness and sense of being loved, Gigi responded with gratitude, emphasizing her wish for Khai to have control over her own image when she is older.

Gigi is currently dating Bradley Cooper, and she regularly shares moments of Khai’s life, always respecting her right to privacy and keeping her out of the public eye until she chooses otherwise.
