Rangers New Chairman Cavenagh Vows to Overhaul Celtic—Shocking Plans Revealed!
New Rangers Chairman Confident in Overhauling Celtic
Andrew Cavenagh, the newly appointed chairman of Rangers, has expressed strong belief that the club can reclaim its position at the top of Scottish football. Following the recent takeover by an American consortium, which approved a £20 million investment, Cavenagh emphasized the club’s ambitions to challenge Celtic’s longstanding dominance.
He stated, “We believe this is achievable; otherwise, we wouldn’t be here.” Acknowledging the challenges ahead, he added, “It won’t happen overnight, but we are committed to improving team performance and upgrading the club’s infrastructure.”
Cavenagh, who was introduced to the media alongside vice-chairman Paraag Marathe, highlighted their shared sense of urgency and determination. “There’s significant work to do, and we’re both very patient and highly competitive,” he said. “We’re fully committed and will push forward as quickly as possible.”
The chairman revealed plans for a future vision, including the redevelopment of Ibrox, and discussed their goal of making Rangers regular contenders in the Champions League. He expressed confidence in manager Russell Martin’s leadership, believing he is the right person to help achieve these ambitions.
Cavenagh stressed the importance of sustainable growth, adding, “We want to win the league; we’re just one position away from first place.” He also reflected on the history and significance of the club, sharing his personal experience walking up the marble stairs of Ibrox and feeling the weight of the club’s legacy.
Concluding his remarks, he emphasized their long-term commitment: “We aim to not only honor the past but also to write a new, successful chapter for Rangers.”
