U.S. Supports Israel in Confronting Iran’s Nuclear Program

The United States has formally backed Israel in its efforts against Iran’s nuclear ambitions. During a recent press briefing, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth praised the military strike carried out under former President Trump, highlighting the operation that involved dropping six bunker-buster bombs on vital nuclear facilities in Iran.

Hegseth stated, “The mission planned by President Trump was courageous and effective, reaffirming that American deterrence is strong again.” He emphasized, “When our leadership speaks, the world listens, and our military can deliver on that promise.”

He referred to the aircraft involved in the attack, the B-2 stealth bombers, as “our boys on those bombers,” a phrase that drew criticism for its casual tone. A Pentagon reporter clarified that both men and women are fully trained to operate these aircraft, correcting the record on the use of gender-specific language.

The B-2 stealth bomber, which participated in the Iran bombing mission, is operated by an all-inclusive trained team of male and female pilots.

The incident sparked numerous critical comments on social media, criticizing the media outlet’s coverage and the language used by officials, with some sarcastically questioning the emphasis on political correctness during a serious military operation.

Among the criticism, some mocked the coverage, suggesting it was overly politically correct.

Public opinion remains divided, with some defending the military language, and others perceiving the reporting style as overly politicized. The raid was conducted from and returned to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri after a 37-hour operation involving advanced stealth aircraft.
