Jude Bellingham to Undergo Shoulder Surgery After Club World Cup

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has announced that he will undergo surgery to address a long-standing shoulder issue following the FIFA Club World Cup. The 21-year-old expressed frustration with playing while wearing a brace and revealed that the date for his procedure has been scheduled.

Since 2023, Bellingham has grappled with persistent shoulder pain, often wearing support straps during matches for both his club and national team. After scoring in Madrid’s 3-1 victory over Pachuca, he shared his feelings about the upcoming operation.

“I’m fed up with the brace,” Bellingham said. “Hopefully, we reach the final, and I can have surgery shortly after to fix it. It’s been a long time coming.”

He added that the discomfort has become more about frustration than pain, especially when opponents tug at his shoulder during play. Bellingham noted, “I’m tired of playing with it re-arranged every time. It’s time for it to get fixed so I can return to full health.”
