Two individuals lost their lives in a plane crash that occurred near Hicks Airfield in Tarrant County, Texas. The incident was marked by a fiery explosion when the aircraft collided with an 18-wheeler and multiple trailers, igniting a large blaze that was visible for miles.

The aircraft struck nose-first, skidding along the pavement before turning vertically and bursting into flames, as captured by surveillance footage. Witnesses reported hearing a loud boom before seeing a thick, black cloud of smoke that soon dispersed after emergency responders arrived.

The crash took place between Fort Worth Alliance Airport and Fort Worth Meacham Airport, just west of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Authorities have not identified the victims, and it is unclear if anyone else was injured.

Five people, including a child, were hospitalized with injuries. The pilot, Eric Nixon, a well-known stunt performer, sustained multiple injuries, including broken ribs and crushed vertebrae.
