Helicopter Crash at California Beach Injures Five

A helicopter, known for performing daring stunts, lost control and crashed into a row of palm trees near Huntington Beach, resulting in multiple injuries. The aircraft, a Bell 22SP, was owned by thrill-seeker Eric Nixon, who often shares videos of his aerial acrobatics on social media.

Prior to the crash, Nixon’s helicopter was en route to a display of luxury cars and private helicopters on the waterfront. Witnesses reported the helicopter suddenly appeared to lose stability and plummeted in front of onlookers, crashing into the trees and getting caught between them and a nearby staircase. The tail section snapped off during the impact.

According to Nixon’s father-in-law, Jerry Miller, Nixon sustained broken ribs, crushed vertebrae, and numerous bruises. He was hospitalized following the accident. Miller mentioned there were other individuals onboard but did not provide details about their conditions.
