Michail Antonio’s £260k Ferrari Wrecked in Crash, Listed on eBay

Michail Antonio’s Crashed Ferrari Listed for Sale Following Serious Accident

The wreckage of Michail Antonio’s expensive Ferrari GTC4Lusso was recently posted for sale on eBay for around £40,000, significantly below its original value of £260,000. The former Premier League star, 35, nearly lost his life in December after crashing the supercar off the road near Theydon Bois in Essex.

The accident happened in Epping Forest as Antonio was returning from West Ham’s training ground. He collided with a tree, ending up trapped inside the vehicle for over 45 minutes until fire crews rescued him. The impact resulted in a broken leg, requiring surgery, and he was fortunate to survive.

Photos from the crash scene showed extensive damage to the right side of the grey Ferrari, indicating the severity of the collision. The vehicle was listed as having “unrecorded damage,” suggesting it was not claimed on insurance and appeared beyond repair. The listing on eBay has since been removed, leaving it unclear whether the car was sold.

Insiders speculate Antonio may be trying to recover some costs by selling the wreckage for parts. The listing was shared by Instagram car enthusiast Mat Armstrong, who noted the car’s earlier high valuation.

Antonio previously experienced a similar incident on Christmas Day in 2019 when he crashed his £210,000 Lamborghini Huracan into a garden shed while dressed as a snowman during snowy conditions. He openly discussed the financial and insurance struggles following that crash, which highlighted the risks of high-performance vehicles on icy roads.

Despite the injuries, Antonio made a remarkable recovery and resumed playing football just four months after the accident. However, West Ham decided not to renew his contract amid ongoing negotiations. He has been seen training with Brentford but remains a free agent, with some reports suggesting the club may not offer him a new deal. Jamaica’s national team coach, Steve McClaren, has expressed hope Antonio will find a new professional opportunity soon, though injury setbacks have temporarily sidelined him.
