Francia Raisa Breaks Silence on Feud Rumors After Selena Gomez’s Wedding Snub
Francia Raisa Addresses Feud Rumors with Selena Gomez
Francia Raisa, the kidney donor for Selena Gomez, has dismissed recent rumors suggesting a conflict between the two friends.
Just days before Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco, Raisa was questioned about claims that she was upset and disapproving of Gomez smoking after her kidney transplant. Raisa clarified in an interview that she had never spoken about such concerns and was unaware of the rumors circulating in the media.
Gomez, who suffered from lupus, received Raisa’s kidney in 2017, a gesture Raisa documented on social media, expressing her gratitude and love. Despite rumors of a rift in 2022—fueled by Gomez calling Taylor Swift her “only friend in the industry”—Raisa responded to inquiries with brief comments, suggesting the matter was private and unaddressed.
Gomez also referred to Raisa as her “best friend” in 2023, indicating their reconciliation. Gomez has expressed immense gratitude for Raisa’s gift, stating during an interview that she will never be more indebted to anyone.
Rumors also surfaced that Raisa’s father confronted Gomez about drinking alcohol after her transplant. Raisa’s father claimed that Francia addressed Gomez directly, emphasizing that her gift was serious and should be respected.
Though Raisa was absent from Gomez’s wedding, she expressed happiness for her friend’s marriage, emphasizing the significance of her donation and the bond they share. Several celebrities attended Gomez’s wedding, including Taylor Swift and other notable stars.
