Greene Denies Suicidal State, Demands DOJ Epstein Transparency

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene Clarifies Her Stance on Epstein Files

Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene assured the public that she is “not suicidal,” amid her active push for the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein. She took to social media to emphasize her well-being and her commitment to exposing the alleged network of sexual abuse and trafficking associated with Epstein.

Greene wrote, “I am not suicidal and one of the happiest, healthiest people you’ll meet.” She expressed concern that if anything were to happen to her, it might be due to efforts by foreign governments or powerful individuals seeking to suppress information. She added, “The people understand what I’m saying.”

Her remarks come as she strongly supports House Resolution 581, authored by Congressman Thomas Massie, which advocates for the declassification and public release of all remaining files concerning Epstein, who died in custody in 2019. Greene has publicly stated her dedication to this cause, emphasizing her focus on supporting victims of sexual abuse regardless of political disagreements.

Greene is one of only four Republicans to sign the discharge petition backing the bill, alongside other notable conservatives and over 200 Democratic co-sponsors, including Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Nancy Pelosi. The legislation calls on the Department of Justice to disclose all unclassified records related to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, his associate.

Earlier this month, Greene and Massie—joined by California Democrat Ro Khanna—held a bipartisan press conference urging the Trump administration and agencies to release additional information about Epstein’s case and network. Greene highlighted the importance of the issue, stating, “This is not a partisan matter; it’s about justice and truth for the American people.”

Jeffrey Epstein, a financier and convicted sex offender, died by apparent suicide in 2019 while in Brooklyn jail, prompting ongoing controversy and calls for transparency surrounding his connections and the allegations against him.
