Lola Young Collapses During NYC Music Festival Performance

The 24-year-old singer Lola Young fainted while performing on stage at a music festival in New York City. She was in the middle of singing her hit song “Conceited” at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium when she suddenly collapsed.

According to reports, emergency medical personnel quickly attended to her and escorted her off stage, receiving support from the audience. The incident occurred during her scheduled act on Saturday. Representatives for both Lola Young and the organizers did not immediately comment on the situation.

Images captured her performing earlier in the day, showing her in her element before the incident. Her manager, Nick Shymansky, stated on social media that Lola’s cancellation of her Friday performance at the We Can Survive event was due to a personal and sensitive matter, emphasizing her openness about her mental health struggles.

Young has been outspoken about her mental health challenges, revealing she was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder at age 17. In an August interview, she shared that touring had been difficult, and she has been working through internal healing processes during her career.

She has also spoken about her experience managing ADHD, noting that medication like Concerta has significantly improved her well-being. She advocates for mental health awareness, urging that physical and mental health be treated equally.
