Barron Trump Missing for First Week at NYU
Barron Trump Misses First Week of NYU Classes
Barron Trump, the son of President Donald Trump, was expected to begin his sophomore year at New York University’s Greenwich Village campus on Tuesday. However, he was notably absent during the first week of classes.
Campus security officials confirmed his absence to reporters, explaining that he is currently attending a different NYU campus for the semester. Specifically, one officer mentioned that Barron is “doing a semester at another NYU campus,” though officials have not disclosed which location due to security concerns. NYU’s campuses include those in Downtown Brooklyn, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai, as well as learning centers in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Despite not being physically present on the main campus in Manhattan, Barron has remained engaged through other means. Reports indicate that he stays in contact with friends on gaming platforms like Xbox and Discord, primarily because he cannot publicly share his phone number for security reasons. A source close to the family revealed that Barron has integrated these platforms into his communication routine, maintaining connections with classmates and friends via gamer tags.
It’s believed that Barron keeps communication limited to known contacts, avoiding sharing his details with strangers, aligning with typical gamer culture where players exchange gamer tags. A source explained, “He’s only talking to people he personally knows and isn’t giving out his info.”
Last year, Barron moved to Trump Tower in Manhattan to attend NYU’s Stern School of Business. Despite the absence from campus, he remains actively involved in his studies through online communication with friends and classmates.
