Howard Stern Rocks Out with Metallica at SiriusXM Days Before Show Postponement

Howard Stern Spotted Enjoying Metallica’s Intimate Hamptons Concert

Recently, Howard Stern was seen attending a special SiriusXM event in the Hamptons, just ahead of his planned return to radio after a recent family emergency caused a postponement.

He was photographed at Metallica’s rare acoustic performance at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett last Thursday. According to eyewitnesses, Stern attended with his wife Beth, one of his daughters, and her husband. He stayed throughout the show, singing along and soaking in the live experience.

The concert coincided with Metallica launching their SiriusXM channel, called Maximum Metallica, announced on Stern’s show last month. The band’s lead drummer, Lars Ulrich, shared the news, prompting Stern to welcome the band into the SiriusXM family.

The event was hosted as a VIP performance, with notable attendees including music legend Paul McCartney, Sylvester Stallone, Michael J. Fox, Bravo’s Andy Cohen, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost, filmmaker Ed Burns, wrestling star Chris Jericho, Maria Menounos, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Comedian Heidi Gardner was also spotted enjoying the night, shortly after news broke of her departure from SNL after eight seasons.

Guests enjoyed drinks and ice cream from a Carvel truck while witnessing the band perform classics like “Master of Puppets,” “Enter Sandman,” “Fade to Black,” and a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train,” which served as a tribute to the late rock icon.

The event was broadcast on Metallica’s SiriusXM channel this week. Stern is expected to return to his show on Monday, with his contract set to conclude at the end of the year. Prior to the performance, he expressed his excitement about the band’s SiriusXM channel and welcomed them into the SiriusXM family.
