Haaland Rages at Former Club After S:ho:ck Decision, Can’t Sleep, Social Media Outburst
Erling Haaland Criticizes Former Club in Angry Social Media Post – Says He Can’t Sleep Over Recent Decision
Erling Haaland has publicly voiced his frustration with his previous club following an unexpected decision to release three players mid-season. The Manchester City striker, who achieved a treble victory in his first season and is one of the top-paid players globally, took to social media to express his displeasure.
Haaland’s journey to the top began in Norway, where he played for Bryne FK after joining their academy in 2005. His career then led him to Molde, followed by stints at RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund before signing with Manchester City in 2022. Despite his success abroad, Haaland still supports Bryne, where he played 16 matches and scored three goals in his early career.
The controversy erupted when Bryne FK announced the termination of contracts with three players—Axel Kryger, Jens Husebo, and Robert Undheim—without providing a specific reason. Haaland, who is currently on international duty with Norway, reacted sharply, posting on Snapchat: “Speak out, Bryne FK. What the hell is going on?”
He further explained his unrest after a follower suggested he should be sleeping: “Yes, I should, but there is chaos at my home club, and it makes me angry, so now I can’t sleep.”
While Undheim chose not to comment publicly, he expressed his affection for Bryne, stating, “Never doubt that I love Bryne FK,” and Kryger noted that their parting was inevitable but wished the club well despite the circumstances.
This incident has sparked reactions across social media, highlighting Haaland’s passionate connection to his roots and his disappointment over the recent events at Bryne FK.
