Cosplayer Arrested for Threatening Bomb at Anime Convention

A well-known cosplayer was taken into custody after reportedly making a threat to bomb a rival booth during an argument at a Texas anime event. The incident stemmed from an online dispute about gamer supplements.

Kendra Noel Manning, 25, widely recognized as “kit noel” on social media, faces a third-degree felony charge for making a terroristic threat that could disrupt public services. If convicted, she faces up to ten years in prison.

According to reports, Manning commented on an influencer’s Instagram that she planned to plant a bomb at her booth during the San Japan Anime + Gaming Convention, in response to comments criticizing Gamer Supps energy drinks.

Attendees, fearing the threat was serious, reported her to event organizers, who then contacted law enforcement. Manning was subsequently arrested after admitting to posting the threat.

She was released on a $35,000 bond and was barred from re-entering the event, receiving a criminal trespass order. Concerns about her comments and conduct grew, with some fearing for safety, prompting police action.

Manning is active on social media, where she boasts over 115,000 followers on TikTok and around 16,000 on Instagram.

Her popular TikTok videos feature her dressed as characters like Kitty Pride and Wanda Maximoff, each garnering thousands of views. Most of her work involves costumes inspired by DC and Marvel comic characters, including Harley Quinn and Raven from Teen Titans.
