Officer Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Brooklyn

An NYPD officer was hit from behind by a fleeing driver in Brooklyn on Sunday evening. The officer was directing traffic at the intersection of Church Avenue and Schenectady Avenue in East Flatbush when a black sedan with an orange license plate struck him around 8:30 p.m.

The driver quickly fled the scene afterward. The officer was taken to Kings County Hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition.
