Pro-Israel Group in Boulder Under Threat Again After Firebombing

A humanitarian organization supporting Israel in Boulder, Colorado, which was previously targeted in a deadly firebombing attack, is facing renewed threats and harassment. The group, Run For Their Lives, has been forced to relocate their weekly walks amid protests and aggressive counteractions by local activists and political figures.

Following the June 1 attack carried out by Egyptian national Mohamed Sabry Soliman, which resulted in the death of 82-year-old Karen Diamond and injured 15 others, members have experienced ongoing hostility. Participants report that protesters, including a candidate for Boulder City Council, have followed their walks, shouting at them and unfurling “Free Palestine” banners—echoing the hate speech during the attack.

In response to threats and harassment, the group decided to hold their upcoming walks in undisclosed locations for safety. “After the attack, we’ve been harassed, and this move is necessary to safeguard our members,” said Aaron Brooks, a participant. “We wish to march for the hostages without being subjected to intimidation.”

Video footage shows a city council candidate, Aaron Stone, spreading propaganda about Israel and claiming his opposition to the country motivated his political run. Stone explicitly called the group leader a “Nazi,” further escalating tensions. The leader, Rachel Amaru, has also been targeted with vile insults, leading the group to plan a temporary pause in public marches.

Participants describe the harassment as orchestrated and deeply troubling. “They try to portray us as genocidal Nazis,” explained Elise, a marcher. “It’s all designed to intimidate us, and most counter-protesters justify the attack, saying we deserved it because support Israel.”

Despite the threats, the group remains committed to their cause. “They want to harass and scare us,” Brooks affirmed. “But we’re not hiding or afraid—just being cautious. We will continue marching peacefully for the release of the hostages and against hatred.”
