Deion Sanders Uses Portable Toilet on Field After Bladder Cancer Surgery

Deion Sanders Returns to Coaching After Bladder Surgery

Deion Sanders resumed coaching with the University of Colorado Buffaloes following recent bladder removal surgery due to cancer. During a game Friday night at Folsom Field, Sanders was seen bringing a portable toilet onto the field, sponsored by diaper brand Depend, to accommodate his medical needs.

The portable bathroom clearly displayed the sponsor’s branding. An online video showed Sanders running onto the field dressed in a black jacket, pants, white knee socks, and a cowboy hat, amid support from his team.

In a previous YouTube video, Sanders, 57, disclosed he underwent the surgery after doctors detected a cancerous tumor, which involved removing his bladder and creating a new one from his intestines—a treatment aimed at eliminating the cancer entirely.

His companion, actress Karreuche Tran, appeared emotional in the clip she shared, expressing that the surgery was the best option to prevent recurrence. She stayed by Sanders’ side during and after the procedure, even talking to hospital staff afterward.
