Haaland Changes Name as Norway & Man City Announce New Chapter

Erling Haaland Changes His Name on National Team Shirt for Upcoming World Cup Qualifiers

Erling Haaland, the star striker, will now feature his full name “Braut Haaland” on his jersey for the Norwegian national team during upcoming matches. The 25-year-old player has decided to include his middle name, Braut, on his number nine shirt for the national side.

Norway’s manager, Stale Solbakken, commented on the change: “That’s his name [Braut], it’s no longer that difficult. I wasn’t aware of this until now.” Haaland is known by his full name, Erling Braut Haaland, on social media and was previously referred to by it during his standout performance at the 2019 U20 World Cup, where he scored nine goals.

He has consistently worn the name Haaland at past clubs, including Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, and continues to do so at Manchester City. Norway’s next fixtures are scheduled for September 4, a friendly against Finland, and September 9, a World Cup qualifier against Moldova.

Off the Pitch: Successful Summer and Fancy Cars

During the summer break, Haaland has enjoyed time off and is preparing to help Manchester City secure the Premier League title. Off the field, he has expanded his car collection, recently seen leaving the club’s Etihad Campus in a new Ford Shelby F-150 pickup truck, which features a 5-liter V8 engine and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds.

Haaland has bought four cars since signing a record-breaking contract with Manchester City earlier this year, which is worth nearly £1 million weekly over nine and a half years. His collection includes a Porsche 911 GT3, a Bugatti Tourbillion (a rare model with only 250 made), a Ferrari 812 Superfast, an Aston Martin DBX, a Mercedes Maybach, and an Audi RS6 Avant.

He is also known for earlier drives in a Ferrari Monza SP2, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and a Range Rover Sport, showcasing his passion for luxury automobiles.
