Near the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center during the US Open, a man lying on the road was struck by a police car moving at a slow speed, according to authorities.
The incident occurred on United Nations Avenue South in Queens, where the man was found lying on the pavement. A police car traveling approximately 10 miles per hour ran him over, police reports indicate.
