Confirming the news, Real Madrid revealed that Mbappe has been admitted to hospital with an acute case of gastroenteritis, a stomach condition characterized by symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting. The club stated that he would undergo tests and receive appropriate treatment.

Real Madrid’s manager, Xabi Alonso, was cautious when questioned about Mbappe’s condition following their recent 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal. He mentioned, “We’ll have to see how he feels. The last time he experienced viral issues, so we need to assess his progress closer to the next game.”

Gastroenteritis usually lasts less than a week, but in more severe cases, symptoms like fever and dehydration can extend up to two weeks. If Mbappe’s illness persists, it could sideline him until the quarter-finals and impact his fitness.
