Ruben Amorim to Banish FOUR Man United Outcasts from Pre-Season Tour – Old Trafford Rebuild Begins!
Manager Ruben Amorim Plans to Exclude Four Manchester United Players from Pre-Season Tour
Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim, is preparing to exclude four players—Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho—from the upcoming US pre-season tour. If these players have not secured new clubs before the tour begins in July, they will be required to train alone at the club’s Carrington facility. Amorim’s decision reflects his intent to reshape the squad in his image, emphasizing commitment and team unity.
In his first season at Old Trafford, Amorim faced a difficult campaign, finishing 15th in the Premier League—the club’s lowest position since 1974—and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. The team also endured a humiliating defeat to ASEAN All-Stars during their Asian tour and faced fan altercations involving Garnacho and Amad Diallo.
The club has started its summer rebuild, including a £62.5 million transfer deal for Matheus Cunha and links to Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo. Meanwhile, Sancho is reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with Napoli, though Manchester United has set a transfer fee of €25 million (£21.3 million), which the Italian club finds too high. Rashford has also been linked with a move to Newcastle, especially after being loaned to Aston Villa last season.
Amid these changes, Garnacho appears set for an exit after publicly clashing with Amorim over not being selected for the Europa League final. United has reportedly valued him at around £70 million, deterring some potential suitors.
United’s pre-season begins with matches against West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton before facing Arsenal in the Premier League’s opening weekend. Amorim aims to strengthen the squad further and has indicated that the transfer budget could increase if high-profile departures occur, allowing the team to build a more cohesive and dedicated squad for the upcoming season.
Ruben Amorim is prepared to exclude four first-team players from the US tour to impose his team principles.
