SUV crashes into influencer Nina Santiago at Texas restaurant

Food Influencers Survive Dramatic Restaurant Crash in Houston

Two food enthusiasts narrowly escaped injury when an SUV crashed through a restaurant window and directly into their table, scattering broken glass everywhere. The incident was caught on a viral video showing the pair at CuVee’s Culinary Creations in west Houston.

In the footage, Nina Santiago, a popular YouTuber with nearly 400,000 followers, was recording herself enjoying sliders with her boyfriend, Patrick Blackwood, when a vehicle suddenly sped into the restaurant. The SUV shattered the glass, hitting the couple and knocking Santiago to the floor while debris flew around them.

Despite the chaos, Santiago was left with cuts on her face and arms but remained grateful to be alive. She shared photos of her injuries on social media and expressed her relief, attributing their safety in part to their pet, Loyal, who passed away last November but she believes protected them from above.

“This experience showed me who truly matters; life is too short for grudges or anger. Let go, forgive, live in the moment, and cherish those around you. This could have been our last meal,” she wrote.

The incident happened unexpectedly, with the driver—who was en route to a private event—believed to have mistook her car for being in park, causing it to roll into the building. The driver and another person inside the restaurant were injured and transported to a hospital.

Many supporters commented on the post, offering well-wishes and words of comfort. One follower said, “Y’all are really blessed. Definitely protected by God,” while others advised legal action against the driver considering the severity of the crash.

The owner of the restaurant explained to authorities that the driver thought the vehicle was in park when she released the brake, leading to the crash. The couple expressed their gratitude for surviving the terrifying event and emphasized the importance of appreciating life and loved ones.
