Teens Arrested in 16-Year-Old’s Murder: Victim’s Girlfriend Among 9 in South Carolina

Teenager’s Murder Plot Exposed: Teenagers and Girlfriend Charged

In South Carolina, nine teenagers have been apprehended for orchestrating a plan to lure a 16-year-old boy, Trey Dean Wright, to his tragic death. The young victim was discovered on June 24 with multiple gunshot wounds along First Neck Road in Florence County, approximately 45 miles from Myrtle Beach.

Devan Scott Raper, aged 19, was arrested shortly after the incident, with officials alleging he shot Wright during a dispute over a girl. However, authorities emphasized that Raper didn’t act alone in this crime.

Investigations revealed that eight other teens were involved in setting up Wright and even recorded the murder on video, including the victim’s girlfriend. Gianna Helene Kistenmacher, 17, was charged as an accessory for bringing Raper, who was armed, to the scene and inciting a confrontation. Other charged teens include 18-year-olds Corrine Belviso and Hunter Kendall, as well as 17-year-old Sydney Kearns.

Details indicate that Raper had threatened Wright with a firearm, motivated by romantic rivalry. The motive was reportedly a dispute over a female relationship, according to law enforcement. An arrest warrant states that Raper had displayed a firearm and made threats to shoot Wright.

“They knew that Raper had threatened Wright with a gun and intended to confront him,” said Maj. Michael Nunn of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office. “It was a planned attack over personal issues.”

Raper is now facing charges of murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime and is held without bond. Other suspects are also detained; Kendall awaits trial without bond, while Belviso and Kearns have posted $20,000 bonds and are awaiting further proceedings.

Law enforcement described the incident as a tragic result of conflicts over romantic interests, with the mother of Wright expressing grief over her son’s untimely death. The case highlights how personal disputes can escalate into violence, ending in devastating consequences.
