Wendy Williams Breaks Silence on Heartbreaking Health Update During Dinner Out
Wendy Williams Steps Out Amidst Dementia Diagnosis and Guardianship Battle
Following recent reports regarding her health, former talk show host Wendy Williams was seen enjoying dinner with friends at a popular New York restaurant over the weekend.
Page Six captured exclusive photos of Williams leaving the venue arm-in-arm with restaurateur Max Tucci. She appeared upbeat and stylish, wearing a beige shirt, snakeskin belt, and straw handbag, with her hair down, bright pink lipstick, and a “W” necklace.
Recent medical tests confirmed Williams has frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, according to legal documents obtained earlier this week. Despite these diagnoses, she maintained a positive attitude during her outing, expressing her intent to challenge her current guardianship arrangement.
Outside the restaurant, Williams stated to reporters that her attorneys are upset with the health reports and that she plans to “get out of guardianship.” She also mentioned the possibility of removing her guardian and claimed she has not accepted the test results as accurate, questioning their validity.
Her guardianship was established in 2022 after Wells Fargo froze her bank accounts amid concerns of suspicious activity and potential financial exploitation. Williams has publicly opposed the arrangement, describing her living situation as feeling like a “prison” and expressing her discontent with her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey.
Williams has gained widespread support from fans calling for her freedom, with protests and online campaigns advocating to end her guardianship. Her ex-husband, Kevin Hunter, who divorced her in 2020, has also publicly supported her efforts and previously filed a $250 million lawsuit to terminate the guardianship, citing concerns over her well-being and the involvement of her legal representatives.
She expressed gratitude to her legal team and reiterated her desire to regain independence, emphasizing her determination to overcome the challenges posed by her health and legal battles.
