Teenager Found Dead in Detroit Cemetery, Authorities Say It’s a Homicide

A 15-year-old boy was discovered deceased in a Detroit cemetery, dressed in gloves and a ski mask. Authorities are treating the case as a homicide, and investigations are ongoing.

Lawrence Dowl’s body was found by a visitor at Mt. Hazel Cemetery on Thursday, two days after he was last seen getting into a vehicle. Family members reported he went missing after being seen entering a white Dodge Durango in the area on Tuesday. He left his phone at home, making it impossible to track his whereabouts.

According to the police, Dowl’s body was located with gloves and what appears to be a ski mask. The discovery was made at the cemetery where he was visiting a loved one. Police are examining the circumstances leading to his death, which they are currently investigating as a homicide.

A family member mentioned that Dowl was last seen being dropped off by someone believed to be a friend, who said they left him in the area and he was walking alone. The search for Dowl involved both the Detroit Police Department and Michigan State Police following the report of his disappearance.
