Wrexham Aims to Sign Former Liverpool Player Amid Promotion Push

Wrexham, a club owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac, is reportedly seeking to sign a seasoned Championship player who previously played for Liverpool before the transfer window closes.

The Welsh team, which recently returned to the second tier after 43 years, suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat away at Southampton in their first league match since promotion. They are also awaiting news on the injury status of summer signing Kieffer Moore, who had to leave the game with ankle ligament damage.

With three weeks remaining in the transfer period, Wrexham remains active in the market and is looking to bolster their defense by bringing in an experienced player. The club has already signed former Premier League captain Conor Coady and goalkeeper Danny Ward from Leicester City, both for a combined fee of around £2 million.

Wrexham’s ownership, particularly Reynolds and Mac, has shown a willingness to fund new signings to strengthen the squad. Recent reports indicate that they are particularly interested in Sheffield United captain Jack Robinson, who is reportedly eager to join the ambitious club.
