Vivek Ramaswamy Warns Mamdani Win Will Be a Wake-Up Call for NY and America
Vivek Ramaswamy Warns of a Rising Socialism Threat in U.S.
Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy expressed concern over a growing far-left movement across the country that he believes threatens national stability. During an appearance on “Fox & Friends,” he highlighted recent socialist-leaning campaigns such as Zohran Mamdani’s bid for New York City mayor and Omar Fateh’s rise in Minneapolis, suggesting these are part of a larger trend.
Ramaswamy sees these political shifts as a critical juncture for America’s future. He emphasized that the rise of socialist candidates signals a deep ideological divide, particularly within the Democratic Party, which he describes as a “fissure.”
The 39-year-old, who previously ran unsuccessfully for the GOP nod in 2024, urged conservatives to seize this moment by promoting the virtues of capitalism and free enterprise, which he argues are the most effective systems in human history.
He warned that triumphs by socialist candidates could serve as a wake-up call for New Yorkers, particularly if Mamdani becomes mayor, leading to policies that may worsen housing issues rather than improve them. Ramaswamy expressed a desire to prevent such outcomes by encouraging a shift in leadership to more conservative policies.
Additionally, Ramaswamy has been active in campaigning against urban crime, which recently made headlines after a tragic assault in Cincinnati. He plans to visit Cincinnati later in the day to address the city’s violent crime surge, including following viral footage of a woman attacked while trying to assist at a recent event. Ramaswamy has vowed to confront the issue directly, emphasizing that violence will not be tolerated and calling for clearer leadership and community safety initiatives.
