Made to Shade Nominees – VRT Awards 2025
Highlighting the Top Shade Queens of the Year
This year has been packed with dramatic moments on reality TV, often fueled by stars unafraid to deliver cutting insults and fierce comebacks. Their boldness has kept viewers hooked and created memorable showdowns.
To honor these queens of shade, a special category called “Made to Shade” was created for the inaugural Virtual Reali-Tea “VRT” Awards. Fans can cast their votes for their favorite shade queen until August 27. The winner will be celebrated during a live event at City Winery in NYC on September 17, hosted by Evan Real and Danny Murphy.
Chrishell Stause, “Selling Sunset”
Initially seen as an underdog, Chrishell Stause, 44, quickly made a name for herself by speaking her mind. During Season 8, she was notably confrontational, calling out Nicole Young for alleged drug use, sparking one of the season’s most talked-about moments.
Phaedra Parks, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”
Returning to “RHOA” with fierce energy, Phaedra Parks didn’t hold back. She publicly called castmate Drew Sidora “forgettable,” adding fuel to ongoing drama and reaffirming her reputation for delivering iconic burns, whether to her castmates or in confessionals.
Gizelle Bryant, “The Real Housewives of Potomac”
As a mainstay of “Potomac,” Gizelle Bryant, 54, remains unapologetically sharp-tongued. Her direct critiques include calling out Mia Thornton for faking her breakup and home address, exemplifying her knack for blending class with sass.
Emily Simpson, “The Real Housewives of Orange County”
Emily Simpson’s candid approach has endeared her to fans, with her unfiltered takes and willingness to confront co-stars. She teases that Season 19 will be even more dramatic, promising plenty of shady moments ahead.
Demi Engemann, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”
Demi Engemann’s outspoken, dramatic presence on “Mormon Wives” led her to become the villain of the season. She declared herself “leader of MomTok” and didn’t hold back, telling co-star Taylor Frankie Paul to “take the b–ch level down,” solidifying her shade-queen status.
Vote now to decide who will claim the “Made to Shade” crown at the upcoming VRT Awards. Join us for an unforgettable night of exclusives and interviews on September 17!
