Repeat Offender Arrested for Inappropriate Behavior at California Retail Store

A man with a history of lewd conduct was detained again after being caught attempting to sniff a woman’s behind in the women’s section of a department store in California. Security footage showed Calese Carron Crowder, 36, crouching near a shopper and inhaling her scent, prompting his arrest.

Police reported that Crowder, a registered sex offender with past convictions including indecent exposure and theft, was seen following the woman throughout the store before the disturbing act. He was ultimately taken into custody inside a nearby Walmart.

Crowder is currently on parole for previous offenses, and authorities responded to reports of a suspicious man loitering around the store’s apparel section. The incident adds to his criminal record, which includes multiple arrests for lewd acts, peeping, and other charges.

In recent months, Crowder attracted significant attention after a viral video captured him sneaking up behind women to sniff their backs at a bookstore. He was also briefly detained for attempting to peep into a family residence but was released shortly after.

Legal Status

Crowder faces charges related to his attempt to commit a lewd act and is held on a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on August 1.
