Hulk Hogan’s Family Denies Rumors of His Illness Before His Passing
Family members have refuted false reports claiming that the wrestling legend was on his deathbed shortly before he died from a suspected cardiac arrest. His wife, Sky Daily, responded to social media inquiries on July 12, clarifying Hogan’s health status following his recent neck surgery two months prior.
She emphasized, “No, he’s not in a coma,” adding that Hogan’s heart remains strong and that there was no oxygen deprivation or brain injury. “His recovery involves a long and layered process after a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF), which impacts not just his spine but also his vocal cords and breathing tubes during surgery,” she explained.
The family has been in and out of the hospital for support, but Daily reassured fans that there’s no need for panic or drama, stating, “He’s healing, and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, patience, and strength.”
Hogan’s management also issued a statement rejecting the rumors. His manager, Jimmy Hart, shared on social media that Hogan was “doing great, doing phenomenal,” enjoying a night of karaoke with his son, Nick.
The false claims originated from radio host Todd Alan Clem, a former friend of Hogan, who suggested that Hogan’s family had been called to say their goodbyes due to complications from his recent surgery. However, official statements and police reports confirmed Hogan’s condition was stable before his passing.
Tragically, Hogan died on Thursday from an apparent cardiac arrest at age 71. Authorities responded to a medical emergency, and he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His team expressed their grief, calling him “a great human being and friend.”
Hogan is survived by Sky Daily and his children, Brooke and Nick. Just days before his death, his ex-wife Linda Hogan shared nostalgic memories of their life together, posting a photo from 1996 and reminiscing about “the good old days.”
