Malcolm-Jamal Warner’s Drowning Site Displays Clear Warning Signs of Dangerous Rip Currents

Beach Where He Died Has Visible Danger Notices

The beach in Costa Rica where Malcolm-Jamal Warner tragically lost his life prominently displays signs warning visitors about strong rip currents and high drowning risks. Photos show multiple signs at the entrance, indicating a “high risk for drowning” and alerting that “rip currents here all year.”

One sign specifically advises that only experienced surfers should enter the water, emphasizing the dangerous conditions. Despite these warnings, Warner was caught in rough waters while visiting with his daughter and was rescued unconscious from the ocean. Sadly, he was pronounced dead with no vital signs, and there were no lifeguards on duty at the time.

His remains were handed over to the judicial authorities after an autopsy and are scheduled to be returned to Los Angeles on Friday.
