Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Buys Washington Home Amid Marital Tensions

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has purchased a historic Georgetown residence in Washington, D.C., valued at over $4.3 million, aiming to strengthen his marriage with Cheryl Hines. The 19th-century townhome was bought last April, reportedly at Hines’ suggestion, as part of Kennedy’s effort to rekindle their relationship and foster a prominent political image.

The couple hoped that establishing a residence in the nation’s capital would revive their marriage and position them as a power couple in Washington. Kennedy hoped the new home would serve as a symbol of their shared ambitions and future.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. bought the Washington house to please his wife, Cheryl Hines, who has no plans to leave Hollywood.

Kennedy faced controversy last September when reports emerged of a sexting relationship with journalist Olivia Nuzzi. The scandal reportedly shocked Hines, who was considering divorce at the time. However, she has since been seen wearing her wedding band and seemingly trusting Kennedy again.

Sources indicate that Kennedy assured Hines of his fidelity and vowed to leave behind previous indiscretions. Despite this, she has expressed doubts about Kennedy’s political commitments, describing Washington as a “deadbeat town.”

Hines recently co-produced a short film, “Prowl,” featuring herself and her daughter, which premiered at a film festival.

While Kennedy denies any romantic involvement with Nuzzi, the incident has cast a shadow over their relationship. Representatives have not commented publicly. Hines, who has been with Kennedy since 2014, remains cautious but continues to support his political endeavors, despite her reservations about his associations with certain political circles.
