Trump Spends $100K to Raise White House Flag Poles—You Won’t Believe What He Did Next!

WASHINGTON — A notable addition to the White House grounds was unveiled Wednesday when two 100-foot flag poles were installed, a project personally funded and overseen by the President.

The new poles, positioned on the North and South lawns, are estimated to cost around $50,000 each, with a total of $100,000 allocated for the upgrades, according to the President. This development was described as a historic milestone, with the White House having been established in 1800.

“The White House has been around since about 1800, just a bit prior to that, and I’ve always wondered, why doesn’t it have flag poles from the grass?” he remarked during the installation process.

The President earlier announced plans for the 100-foot flag poles in April, positioning them alongside improvements like a new Rose Garden platform, a ballroom, and revamped Oval Office decor.

He has shown a keen interest in the ongoing construction, often engaging with the workers; “Only construction folks find this thrilling,” he commented. “It has to be perfectly straight, and once it’s flawless, they pour in the sand, which lasts for a century,” he added with a smile.

He has also been actively visiting the construction sites nearby, chatting with workers about the ongoing renovations.

“I don’t know them personally, but I like them — I’d imagine most voted for me,” he quipped Monday. “I need to get these guys back to work; they’re making quite a bit of money,” he joked. “One of them might even become a movie star someday, someone will see the talent and say ‘That guy is perfect for a film,’” he added, joking with the crew.
