Jenna Bush Hager’s children were less than thrilled with her new hairstyle. During a live segment on the “Today” show, she captured her kids’ candid reactions to her freshly cut bob.

Her 9-year-old daughter, Poppy, asked, “What are you doing?” when she saw her mother’s hair change. Her 12-year-old sister, Mila, bluntly said, “I don’t like it,” while her 5-year-old brother Hal echoed the sentiment.

Mila chimed in, “I don’t like it,” with her 5-year-old brother Hal repeating the sentiment. Poppy then questioned Jenna’s choice before slumping into a chair in disbelief.

She later showed the clip to fellow actress Leslie Bibb, who inspired the haircut—called a “c–ty little bob”—on Instagram, saying, “In March, I vowed to get on board with the bob, and today is the day.”

Stylist Chris McMillan, who crafted the look, explained it as an “ear lobe bob,” inspired by Patricia Arquette’s 1993 press photos for “True Romance,” and added that she intended to grow out her hair into that style. Interestingly, he admitted he hadn’t expected the cut to go viral.

Jenna’s husband Henry, 47, liked the new style and defended her against their children’s comments. He commented that their daughter Mila simply “doesn’t know fashion” and added, “Damn, that’s hot,” which Jenna called “sweet.”

The haircut, dubbed a “white lotus” in a playful nod, mimics Leslie Bibb’s character Kate’s bob in “White Lotus.” Bibb herself shared the story on Instagram, joking about the “monsters”—her kids—that reacted to her look.

Jenna initially promised to embrace the bob style back in March. Now, with her dramatic new cut, the look may just be the summer’s trend.
