Chicken Crossing Sparks Road Rage!
Florida Woman Arrested After Attacking Driver Over Chicken Incident
A woman in Florida was taken into custody after she assaulted another motorist following an incident involving a chicken at an intersection.
According to authorities, Cynthia Sosa, 38, had paused her vehicle to allow a chicken to cross the street. Meanwhile, another driver, Perla DeMiller, arrived behind her and grew impatient, honking her horn. Eventually, DeMiller drove over the chicken, which had been crossing the road.
DeMiller, who was on her way to pick up her child, decided to pass Sosa’s vehicle but was soon followed by Sosa, who wanted to confront her. Sosa pulled her car in front of DeMiller’s to force her to stop. When DeMiller pulled over, Sosa reportedly attempted to open her door. The two women struggled over the vehicle, and Sosa then used a can of bear spray, spraying DeMiller directly in the face inside her car.
After the confrontation, Sosa drove to the police station to give her account. She stated to officers that she was upset because she believed DeMiller “killed a chicken,” which fueled her actions.
Sosa was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated battery, as well as burglary with assault or battery related to the incident. She faces court proceedings scheduled for July 24.
