Grealish Trains Solo at Man City as Teammates Vacation, Coaching Transfer Struggles
Manchester City Outcast Jack Grealish Prepares for Solo Training as He Seeks Transfer
Jack Grealish, currently out of favor at Manchester City, has decided to commence pre-season training alone in an effort to facilitate a transfer away from the club. The 29-year-old will begin training a week before his teammates, who are still on holiday after a demanding season and their exit from the Club World Cup.
Grealish was excluded from City’s 27-man squad for the tournament in Saudi Arabia, resulting in him not receiving the same break as others. He has been maintaining his fitness with personal trainer Jamie Reynolds throughout the summer. His return to training will occur this week, with reports indicating he will train solo according to the Telegraph.
Having joined City from Aston Villa for £100 million four years ago, Grealish was informed at the start of summer that he could leave, but a transfer has not materialized yet. Several clubs, including Italian champions Napoli, Everton, and West Ham, are interested, but his high wages—£300,000 a week—pose a challenge. City may consider loan options if a suitable buyer cannot be found for their record-signing.
City manager Pep Guardiola has publicly supported Grealish, emphasizing he needs regular game time. Guardiola explained: “He is an exceptional player. The only reason he didn’t play much last season is my decision. We believe it is best for him to leave in search of more opportunities to rediscover his form.” Despite his uncertain future, Grealish remains committed to City fans, expressing strong affection for the club in recent interactions.

Grealish’s dedication remains evident through his interactions and social media, but his career at City may soon come to an end as he seeks more consistent playing opportunities elsewhere.
