The legendary singer Cher, 79, was in New York City over the weekend, accompanied by her younger boyfriend, Alexander “AE” Edwards, 39. The couple attended the opening of Alan Faena’s new hotel in West Chelsea on Friday, where they appeared inseparable, exchanging affectionate gestures.

The couple arrived holding hands and stayed close throughout the event. They also participated in the hotel’s private celebration of an art installation titled “Amaze, Vogue, Ascend, Flourish,” which transformed the courtyard into a retro rollerskating rink. When not together, Cher and Faena served guests her signature “Cherlato” ice cream, a frozen treat she developed with chef Gianpaolo Grazioli.
