Liverpool Player Earning £70,000 Per Week Reveals He Was ‘Too Afraid’ to Spend His Wages Amid Real Madrid Interest

A Liverpool defender earning £70,000 weekly has shared his reasons for being hesitant to splurge his earnings, despite attracting interest from Real Madrid. The player, whose contract expires at the end of the current season, is reportedly a target for the Spanish giants, who can offer both competitive success and lucrative pay.

He explained that in his earlier years, he was ‘too afraid’ to spend money extravagantly out of concern about judgment from his family and friends. “I became the player I am today thanks to my brothers,” he said. “From my first steps at Paris Université Club to Liverpool, they have always been an essential support.” He revealed he avoided spending on cars, clothes, or personal luxuries, fearing that doing so would cause others to think he’d changed.
