Championship Club Set to Re-Sign Former Striker for Third Time in Four Years
Championship Club Preparing to Re-Sign Emmanuel Dennis for the Third Time in Four Years
Watford is considering a return for striker Emmanuel Dennis, who is currently a free agent after mutually ending his contract with Nottingham Forest in August. The 27-year-old previously played for Watford from 2021, scoring 10 goals in 35 appearances, before transferring to Nottingham Forest for £10 million.
Although Dennis attracted interest from West Ham and Cypriot clubs like Pafos and AEL Limassol, he has expressed a preference for remaining in top-tier leagues. Recently, though, he has shown more openness to offers from the Championship, indicating a willingness to explore opportunities at that level.
He has had two spells at Watford, including a short loan in 2024. The club now aims to bolster their attacking options under new head coach Javi Gracia, who replaced Paolo Pezzolano. Gracia previously managed Watford from January 2018 to 2019, guiding them to their best Premier League finish of 11th place and leading them to their first FA Cup final in 35 years.
The potential re-signing of Dennis would mark his third stint with Watford, highlighting the club’s ongoing interest in reuniting with the forward. As Watford aims for a strong push into the playoff spots, strengthening their attack with experienced players like Dennis remains a priority.
