Trump Suggests Sen. Adam Schiff May Be Next to Face Charges

Criminal Investigations Targeting Prominent Politicians Intensify

Federal authorities are examining allegations against several high-profile figures, including Congressman Adam Schiff, amid ongoing investigations into possible misconduct. Schiff, a notable California Democrat and former chair of the House Intelligence Committee, faces accusations of mortgage fraud linked to discrepancies in his declared primary residences, which allegedly allowed him to benefit from favorable loan terms and tax advantages.

The accusations date back to 2023, when federal investigators, including the Federal Housing Finance Agency, referred Schiff for suspected violations related to certifying multiple properties as primary residences. It is claimed that Schiff falsely declared a property in Maryland as his main home while listing a California condo for tax and mortgage purposes, potentially violating laws for loans backed by government agencies.

Additionally, Schiff is under scrutiny for certification of federally-backed loans over a 16-year period, with allegations suggesting he gained from reduced interest rates and tax benefits. The investigation has been overseen by officials such as Attorney General Pam Bondi, who appointed specialized attorneys to probe these allegations.

In parallel developments, charges are anticipated against former National Security Advisor John Bolton. Other figures, including FBI Director James Comey, have already faced indictments for lying to Congress and obstructing justice, following separate investigations. Schiff remains the only individual among these who has not yet been formally charged.

Schiff has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, asserting his innocence. His office declined to comment on the ongoing inquiries. The political arena remains tense as these investigations unfold, with some critics questioning the motives behind the probes.
