JD Vance: Middle East on the Verge of Sustainable Peace

Peace Deal Brings Hope to the Middle East

Recent diplomatic efforts have put the Middle East on the verge of achieving lasting peace, according to Vice President JD Vance. He expressed confidence that Hamas will soon release the hostages held in Gaza, crediting President Trump’s unconventional diplomacy for this progress.

Vance praised Trump’s approach, stating, “He pursued a non-traditional diplomatic path with individuals who weren’t career diplomats but brought fresh perspectives. This bold strategy has led us to a hopeful moment for stability.”

President Trump unveiled a comprehensive 20-point peace plan for Israel and Gaza on September 29. Hamas agreed to the terms later that week, and Israel’s cabinet approved the plan soon after. Now, the expectation is that Hamas will release the 20 hostages alive by early Monday, with efforts ongoing to recover the remains of 28 others.

After arriving in Israel on Monday, President Trump is scheduled to meet in Egypt to finalize the agreement he helped broker. Despite recognizing some lingering tensions due to the conflict, Vance emphasized that the deal’s success will enhance America’s security.

He explained, “Balancing the fight against terrorism with providing humanitarian aid to innocent civilians in Gaza has been challenging. While there may be resentment after years of war, a sustainable peace will ultimately make us safer.”

Vance also stated that the U.S. does not plan to deploy ground troops but will focus on monitoring the situation, ensuring regional stability without military intervention. He acknowledged that ending the war is just the beginning, requiring ongoing effort to maintain peace in the area.
