George Stephanopoulos Shuts Down JD Vance on Tom Homan Bribe
Questions Surround Alleged Bribe Involving Border Czar Tom Homan
Uncertainty persists over whether former border czar Tom Homan accepted and retained $50,000 offered to him as a bribe in 2024. The alleged transaction was reportedly captured on FBI audio and video recordings. Homan maintains his innocence but has not requested the release of the evidence, which he claims could clarify the situation.
During an interview on ABC’s This Week, Vice President JD Vance addressed the incestuous nature of political prosecutions, highlighting the apparent hypocrisy where similar crimes by members of the Trump administration often go unpunished. Stephanopoulos questioned Vance about the FBI surveillance tape from September 2024, which allegedly shows Homan accepting cash.
Vance responded strongly, denying any bribery: “Tom Homan did not take a bribe. It’s a baseless smear. The real story is why he is persistently harassed for simply enforcing immigration laws. He’s a dedicated public servant who faces threats and attacks because of his duties.”
