Man United Women’s Kit Blunder—Can Fans Spot the Error?
Eagle-eyed fans spot another Manchester United kit mistake, this time involving the women’s team – can you identify it?
Manchester United often find themselves under scrutiny, and their latest slip-up involves their women’s squad. Before their debut in the Women’s Champions League against Valerenga, sharp-eyed supporters noticed an embarrassing error with their kits.
The team secured a 1-0 victory, with captain Maya Le Tissier scoring a first-half penalty. However, the buildup to the match was overshadowed by a wardrobe malfunction. Manchester United Women’s official Instagram posted a picture of right-back Hannah Blundell’s shirt, which featured the Women’s Champions League sleeve badge — but notably, the badge was upside down.
While Blundell, who had recently returned from maternity leave and did not participate in the game, was not alone in this mistake—Le Tissier was also seen wearing the same inverted crest during the match.
Kit errors are not new for Manchester United’s women’s team. In 2021, defender Millie Turner was mistakenly named ‘Amy Turner’ during an Adidas kit launch, leading to widespread amusement and support from teammates and fans alike.
Similar issues have plagued the men’s team, such as in 2023 when players had to wear replica kits due to tight designs, or earlier this year when winger Amad Diallo was photographed with the club’s crest printed upside down—an incident attributed to a misprint by Adidas.
Despite these errors, the women’s team has had a bright start to their season. They currently sit third in the Women’s Super League, trailing leaders Chelsea by two points, and are the highest-rated English side in the Women’s Champions League, positioned seventh overall before their next match against Everton.
