Travis Kelce’s Misstep at Taylor Swift Concert

During a Taylor Swift Eras Tour show, NFL player Travis Kelce found himself in a humorous faux pas. He mistakenly approached Hugh Grant’s wife, Anna Eberstein, believing her to be the renowned director Greta Gerwig, much to the amusement of Swift.

Swift recounted on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” how Kelce, also 35, had an awkward encounter in the VIP area. He congratulated Eberstein on Gerwig’s latest film, “Barbie,” but then made a humorous reference to a line from the movie, saying, “I’m just Ken, too.”

The pop star noted that Kelce only realized his mistake afterward, as Gerwig was present in the same VIP tent that evening and was photographed with Kelce. At the time, Kelce thought Gerwig was part of a different family he was joking and dancing with, unaware of her identity.

In addition to the mix-up, Kelce’s good-natured humor extended to a light-hearted remark to Swift. He playfully pointed at her during the show and added, “I’m just Ken,” referencing a line from the “Barbie” film, which Swift appreciated.

Despite the mistake, Gerwig attended the concert in the VIP section and was seen with Grant, who was earlier spotted at the London leg of the tour in June 2024. Grant shared stories about doing tequila shots with Kelce during the visit, recounting to a publication that they “got absolutely smashed.”

Grant also tweeted a humorous note to Swift, praising her show and revealing his playful interactions with Kelce. Swift responded on social media, expressing her admiration, saying, “As a long-time Hugh Grant fan, this tweet is very important to my culture.”
