Dog Leads Deputies to Injured Elderly Woman During Late-Night Search

In a heartwarming rescue, a persistent dog named Eeyore refused to leave the side of deputies searching for his missing owner’s elderly mother. On September 25, a deputy responded to a call about a missing senior woman in Destin, Florida. Her husband explained that she had gone for a walk with their child’s dog, Eeyore, but she hadn’t returned in over an hour. The search quickly intensified as the dog’s behavior drew attention.

Deputy Devon Miller, known for rescuing a cat from a drainage ditch previously, soon spotted Eeyore wandering down the street. The dog was visibly anxious but quickly showed affection toward Miller. As Miller encouraged him to lead the way, Eeyore abruptly turned and started guiding her into a nearby neighborhood.
