Connecticut Man Wins $1M Scratch-Off Jackpot Moments After $100K Win
Man Wins $1 Million Jackpot for the Second Time
A man from Connecticut has astonishingly won a $1 million top prize on a scratch-off ticket, just months after previously claiming another significant prize. Shelley Suttles of Bridgeport was running errands at a local convenience store when he decided to purchase an Ultimate 7s scratch game ticket on September 30.
Upon scratching the ticket, Suttles discovered he had won the million-dollar prize. Overwhelmed, he recounted, “I almost passed out. I scratched off the box and saw a million dollars. I’ve never seen that on a ticket before.” He quickly called his sister to share the news, and she was equally excited, unable to believe the win.
Previously, Suttles won a $100,000 prize through the Cash 5 lottery this summer, highlighting his luck with multiple big wins within a short period. Statistically, the chance of winning the $1 million Ultimate 7s jackpot is 1 in 1,300,000, and the odds for the $100,000 Cash 5 prize are 1 in 324,632.
He plans to use his winnings to pay off debts and contribute to his church, expressing gratitude for the unexpected fortune. The store where he purchased the winning ticket, Grand Package Store, will receive a $10,000 bonus for its role in the win.
